Well, here are a few more pictures of how the plants looked mid July after transplanting into the hydroponics system July 1st. Today they look awesome but you are going to have to wait for those pictures.

Tomatoes in Hydroponics 15-20 days old

Peppers in Hydroponics 15-20 days old

Tomatillo and other veggies in hydroponics 15-20 days old

Tomatoes tested in Aeroponic system 10 days old
More pictures on the way. You see those milk jugs on the ground in this last image? Those are beans, peas and radishes and they are now already 6+ inches high. Hydroponics is awesome and great for growing vegetables and much more. I am finding a few issues here and there but most I have been able to overcome. I can also tell you that just letting it run is much easier than watering everything each day.

Well, for the hydroponics systems I planted nothing but heirloom varieties and they are…
- Several different tomatoes types. My best guess is about 20 and I will be doing many more next year. 40 plants
- All sorts of peppers. Too many to count. Easily 40 plants with a big variety.
- Cilantro…doesn’t seem to like the hydro. I am having better luck with it in soil.
- Tomatillos. About 5 plants not sure which are which but there are 3 different kinds.
- Eggplants. 3 different kinds and 9 plants total.
As for soil I went a little nuts when I went to the nursery plus I planted a lot of seeds. Below is the best guess of what I have. I promise to have much better records of plants with pictures of each next season.
- Cucumbers
- Lettuce
- Cilantro
- Dill
- Chives
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Parsley
- Tomatoes
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Raspberries
- Strawberries
- Beans
- Peas
- Corn
- Cabbage
- A few flowers
- Lots of peppers
Outdoor in the dirt I also have about 13 different types of melons all heirloom.
And much much more. So far there are over 300 plants. Not bad for such a late start into the season. More pictures to come.

Well, I have been busy and not able to update this blog as often as I had hoped. The good news is that there are plants in the greenhouse. I have enclosed in this post some of the first pictures I made on July 1st 2009 when I first put the hydroponics system into place. I will update the rest of the pictures and show you how that month went each week. Right now being August 6th I can tell you that I have tomatoes and peppers that are fantastic.
These pictures are from July 1st when the plants were first put into place. They were started indoor with seed and I only started the project late because the economy made me take a job out of town. Although I got a late start the results are awesome. Next year I look forward to doubling output from our 1000sqft greenhouse and hydroponics system.
I am also working on an e-book which will fully cover the hydroponics system and show you how you can create your own. This will be available in late fall. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a line. greg@remotegardener.com
You will notice that our online store is also currently down. I will be bringing this back online later this month and I have a lot of new items we are adding etc. Solexx is great stuff and why you would use anything else to cover your greenhouse is beyond me.
