First I must say I have greatly impressed myself with the amount of fruit I am getting out of our greenhouse. Most of this was done as a test this year to see what worked and what did not work. So far everything is working great although we did have a few setbacks. The greenhouse got infested with aphids not long ago but a release of 1500 lady bugs certainly put a stop to the aphids.

I expect to double our racks next year and get double the harvest. Later this year I will be posting instructions on how to use our hydroponics system using standard 2 liter bottles. As you can see from the pictures these have far exceeded expectations and if you figure these plants should be 45 days older (since we got a late start to the season) next year it will be difficult to walk through the greenhouse.

Look at the size of that awesome tomato. Can you imagine how good it is going to taste when ripe?

I have never really eaten that much eggplant but these casper eggplants look great. I am going to have to try them on the BBQ. Yes, it is that big growing out of a two liter bottle.

More eggplants grown from atwo liter bottles. When this grows more I need need some extra support for that bottle.

Our mutant tomato plant is doing great. Every clone we have made from it is also exceedingly abundant. Last count was 52 tomatoes in progress and all those blooms yet to take fruit.

This is just a sample of the peppers we are getting. Solexx is really doing it's part to help these babies grow. Yum Yum

I figured that a few night shots would help give you an idea of how the place is doing. Remember that these planst did not go into the system until the 1st of July. Today is now September 16th.

Isn't the way they glow just awesome?

Hello All,

I have been busy with work and working in the greenhouse but I was able to find some time to get some images updated on the greenhouse progress. Using Solexx sure does rock but I fear that I must lose a couple of trees outside before next season. Either way these plants shown below are all now exactly two months old from transplant. Pretty impressive if you consider that they were not even put into soil or the hydro system until July 1st. Even though I got a late start to the season the progress amazes me every day.

The tomat plant above her head has just amazed me this year. Everyone of those flowers showing is from the same plant. I mean I have had cherry tomatoes before but these are loving the hydroponic system. Don't forget that they are only 2 months old. Most of those flowers are starting to turn into tomatoes and if they all change I was counting 200+ off of just two branches.

It is not that she is short it is that the tomato plants are tall. I am 6'3" tall and they stand over my head.

Here is a more close up of the tomatoes in the hydro system. These are gonna be the big ones.

The only problem with kids in your greenhouse is that once they determine what can be eaten you will start to notice your best veggies start to vanish.

This is the end rack which each plant only has about 2-3 inches of rockwool between two layers of rock. Most of these are clones from the larger plants too. I changed the largest tomatillo over to a two liter bottle with nothing but rocks and vermiculite in it. So far it has loved the change. I did it with a second and lost the plant in a matter of 3 days so we all learn each day.
