Greetings Gardeners,
Well, the weather has turned south or you could say north. First we got hit by very high winds causing a complete hold on finishing the new greenhouse. Then to top it all off I woke up to snow on my car this morning. Nothing major but a light sprinkle. It was enough to cause concern. I went outside into the Greenhouse to make sure the temperature held through the night. Of course it did, we are after all, using Solexx.
It has been a few days since I posted images of our gutter growing solution so I thought I should post an update. Here are the newest pictures. As you can see the lettuce, radishes and peas love the colder weather. You can also see our tomato and pepper plants showing nice progress sprouting from the peat pots.

The peas are having a wonderful time in the colder weather. Now if I can just get them to start flowering and making peas I will be a happy camper.

Peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos and more are sprouting well. The gutters shown here were planted about three weeks after those with heavy growth and a heating strip was not placed in the bottom. You can certainly tell a difference in the growth production.
We are going to shoot for doing more to the greenhouse next weekend if weather permits. We really have to get it all done before May 15th when the local farmers market starts.
